About me
As the Chief Culture Officer at Haverkamp Group, Todd leads efforts to protect and strengthen the organization’s award-winning culture. Based in Ames, Iowa, the Haverkamp Group is a collection of companies specializing in multifamily development, acquisitions, design, construction management, and property management. Todd has been with Haverkamp since 2005; over the past 20 years, he has mostly worked in operations. In 2022, he was appointed to his current role to safeguard, nurture, and lead the company’s culture.
Todd is passionate about delivering results for the company and creating an environment where employees feel appreciated and motivated. He is committed to leadership development and aligning the company’s core values with those of its employees. His proactive approach to collecting and acting on employee feedback has led to meaningful improvements within the organization. He has launched key initiatives, including a company-wide recognition program and a comprehensive annual culture survey. For the past three years, Haverkamp has been recognized as a Top Workplace by the Des Moines Register. Todd sees this achievement as a true reflection of the hard work and dedication of the remarkable people who make Haverkamp a great place to work.
A member of the Cultural Excellence Network's steering committee, Todd collaborates with other culture champions to promote thriving workplaces across the country. He also holds an Organizational Culture Leadership certificate from CultureCon. Todd has appeared on several podcasts, such as “Vibecast” with Kristi Skutvik, “Culture Starts Here” with BJ McKay and Heather Haas, “ValuesJam” with Alan Williams, and, most recently, “Untitled…What I Really Do” with Tara Samuels.
Todd and his wife, Kendra, have been married for over 34 years and live on an acreage in rural Iowa. They enjoy spending time with their four children and traveling as often as possible. He loves being outdoors, working/playing ‘farmer’, or simply enjoying creation.

His dedication to fostering a positive culture ensures that team members have the tools and opportunities needed for growth, helping them thrive in their work.
